When we first started keeping bees, we'd always planned on doing a small business, in hopes that at one point we would be able to step out of our day-to-day jobby-jobs and "retire" to a life of bee farming.
At that time, we were living in a residential area in a VERY HILLY yard, such that if there was a snowstorm, you would have to park in the street and scurry up the hill to get to the front door. We had a number of friends who would come over to hang out, brew beer, make soap, and all kinds of other things and our place became known as the "Hill House". When the bee business started, Hill House Apiaries seemed to make a lot of sense.
Fast forward to 2018, we had now moved out to the country, on a much flatter stretch of land. It is known as the Bee Farm.
We also found out that "Apiaries" is a lot harder to spell on a mobile phone, and was difficult for many people (including us) to get to the site, contact us, place orders etc..
After much kicking things around, watching the bees flying to and from the hives at sunset, the new name came to us.
Welcome friends, supporters and family, to Tiny Wings Bee Farm!
